Tumblin’ Dice

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

Tumblin’ Dice is a score keeper for the physical Tumblin’ Dice board game. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version: the app has no accounts, advertising, or tracking. Your scores stay on your device. A board photo leaves your device only when you choose to scan it. Optional sharing to improve recognition is disabled by default.

Information stored on your device

Your teams, round-by-round scores, and settings are saved in your device’s local browser storage. This data stays on your device. It is not sent to us, it is not linked to any account, and we cannot see it. Clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app removes it permanently.

Camera and board photos

The app uses your device camera only when you tap to scan the board, and only after your device asks for camera permission. When you scan:

Scanning is optional. You can keep score entirely by hand without ever using the camera.

Optional recognition improvement

The Game menu includes an Improve photo recognition switch. It is disabled by default. If you turn it on and correct a scan, the corrected board photo and scan results may be stored on our server to improve and evaluate the scanner.

The stored training record can include:

These records are not connected to an account or used for advertising or tracking. They are kept only while useful for improving the scanner. Turning the switch off stops future training uploads. To ask about deletion of a previously shared scan, contact us with its approximate date and time.

What we do not do

Fonts

The app loads its display font from Google Fonts. Like any web request, this lets Google’s servers see a standard request (including an IP address). No app data is shared in that request.

Children

Tumblin’ Dice is suitable for all ages and is not designed to collect names or contact details. A child should leave optional recognition sharing off unless a parent or guardian allows it. Board photos should not include faces or other private information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
